Identity Capabilities

PorchCreative believes there is a story behind every company or community — it begins with those who create and provide, and ends with those who benefit from the product or environment they’re exposed to. These stories need to be told, and cultivated. The brand identity of every entity should be aligned with the successes it helps create. This identity must be universally understood, unique, and memorable. Not only do we feel we have the understanding, enthusiasm, and credentials to complete any project, we expect to create an exceptional identity that represents our client’s principles in the most positive light — one that will help propel the organization’s brand forward, become ingrained in members’ and consumers’ minds, and be successful for many years to come.

KLLM

The KLLM logo depicts a muscular stallion at full gallop with a swath of road running through its body. It symbolizes speed, strength, intelligence, loyalty and devotion — traits that became part of KLLM’s mission statement. The swath of highway running through the horse reinforces being one with the road. Included in the identity package were new colors for the trucks (champagne cabs with white and silver trailers), uniforms, and specialty items. The new look and direction resulted in a measurable increase in recruitment of quality drivers, and an instantly recognized national brand.

Mississippi Children's Museum

The assignment for the Mississippi Children’s Museum was to create a logo that would evoke wonder and playfulness, and exude energy. It needed to engage children as well as adults. This is a hands-on museum, with multiple opportunities for visitors to experience what makes Mississippi unique. The solution called for a hand-drawn, whimsical and colorful logo that radiates imagination and discovery. The calligraphic “M” starts with a book representing knowledge, and ends with a rocket signifying the sky is the limit when it comes to experimentation, learning, growing, and advancing. The logo as well as the type treatment became an integral part of the exhibits, café, exterior architecture, and interior design.

Harmony Farm

The Harmony Farm logo was created for a working farm that specializes in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. The assignment was to create a logo that reflects the owner’s deep spiritual relationship with her animals — a mark that would embody cooperation, peace, and healing — and represent empowerment and reconciliation. While various directions were explored, the solution lay in bringing the human and equine spirit together, melding the desire for security and partnership through a visual use of negative space. The result was a logo that is inviting and recognizable.
